Hitting a 6 for the Local Community

Andrew Muir, Chairman of The Good Guys, proudly announced The Good Guys Local Giving Program reached $6 million in donations nationally this month. The program has seen donations provided to over 150 local community organisations and charities, supporting essential services and projects at a grassroot level.

A percentage of every transaction, in store and online, is donated back to community organisations, with each customer invited to join in and have their say as to where the funding is distributed.

“We do this by proving a heart shaped token at the checkout which can be placed into the token box of our nominated cause partners,” said Mr Muir.

“Every local Good Guy has a different local charity partner that provides services to the community – which means local impact and real outcomes – and we have our customers to thank for that.”

“Over the years our Local Giving Program has provided funds for a variety of causes from health services to youth programs, disability services and support for the disadvantaged.

“We are committed to making a positive contribution to society and improving the lives of those in the communities where our customers and employees work and live,” he added.

This month store around the country will be thanking customers with various fundraising activities in store. For more information about your local store’s charity partners, visit www.thegoodguys.com.au. The Local Giving Program is run via The Good Guys Foundation.
